So the Holidays are upon us and it's at this time of year that everyone starts looking for new and original gift ideas for their loved ones. I have my mind set on building a DIY Sound Booth that my wife could practice singing in regardless of whether or not the kids (and neighbors) are asleep.

We also play a few instruments, so this will really be an acoustic, vocal, soundproof booth if everything comes together as planned, that is!

After a few days of work and lots of sawing and sealing, the Booth has partially taken form. And, although at this point it's more of an echochamber than a vocal room, I'm very glad that I took up this project and am enthusiastic about seeing it through!

So far the project has taken me 30 hours once the final result is ready I'll tally up the financial side of things and total man hours, along with a "test drive" in part 2!
