In this week's video i show you how to build my version of this 'Twist Lock' saw vice. I adapted this vice from a photo i had seen of a much larger floor standing saw vice to allow it to be operated from you workbench face vice. This is a beginner friendly build which i believe anyone can make from complete beginners to masters craftsmen.
UPDATE: I have found the original source material (thank to a comment pinned below) from where i found the photo, turns out Peter Follansbee made a reproduction of the tall version of this saw vice. The article can be found here for those interested: https://pfollansbee.wordpress.com/201...
Roy Underhill had a show on PBS that explore various saw vices with a different style of 'twist lock'
that can be found here: http://video.pbs.org/video/2365021480/
Hope you enjoy!!
