Building the MOST REALISTIC neighborhood in Cities Skylines Pittsburgh

Gaseous Stranger

In the 22nd episode of Cities: Skylines Pittsburgh, we’re building the neighborhood of Lawrenceville in Pittsburgh. A former industrial neighborhood nestled alongside the Allegheny River, Lawrenceville has recently become a trendy and desirable area to live. Later in the video I’ll be discussing the topic of gentrification, what it means for cities, how it applies to Pittsburgh, and how planners can avoid it with redevelopment. Throughout the video, I’ll also be highlighting some key locations around the neighborhood that I thought stood out while I was recreating them and from my recent visit to see everything in person. Stick around to the end of the video for the off camera build and some final cinematics!

My goal for these projects is to finish the cities in their present form so that I can them it as a basis to improve traffic, improve walkability, increase transit options and opportunities, and complete highway removal/covering projects.

Hope you enjoy there will be more coming shortly!
