Joe Biden has ignored reporters' questions yet again as he met new Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer at the Nato summit.

The two leaders discussed UK and US ties, the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, and England’s win in the semifinals of Euro 2024.

But the President was reluctant to respond to questions from journalists, as calls from within the Democratic Party grow for him to withdraw from the race.

Biden will host his first solo press conference of the year on Thursday. He will have to speak on a wide range of topics, including whether his doctors have found evidence of mental decline.

He has held fewer press conferences and interviews combined that presidents dating to Ronald Reagan in the 1980s. He has held an average of 10.5 press conferences per year, compared to 22 per year for Trump.
