I have had many first time buyers or those who don't quite have their down payment saved up just yet if they should take this zero down payment option when buying a house for the first time. Personally, it isn't something I would do. I especially think for firsttime home buyers in Canada it is better to try and save up a little more so that you have at least 5% down payment but if you can get to 20% down payment that is even better.
