The BYD Seal U comes from the same design family as the Seal saloon, and the resemblance is clear from the front. Slender LED headlights include a lower Cshaped section for the daytime running light element. A set of horizontal strakes span the lower bumper, underlining not only a sense of width but also height at the front. 

Compared to most of its main rivals, the BYD Seal U is marginally longer, and all versions will ride on 19inch alloy wheels. BYD designers haven’t tried to be controversial with their approach to the exterior; it’s a conservative look that’s likely to have mainstream appeal.
