Here is one of the 105th Airlift Wing’s C17’s returning home from training, planting it on runway 16. This runway is 6,004 feet long, the aircraft touches down on the 1,000 foot markers and still easily makes the exit on taxiway Alpha. Half the runway is still remaining at this exit roughly, absolutely incredible to witness such a feat. Wonder how hot those brakes get! Don’t forget about those four PW2000’s in full reverse, you can even see the heat haze from the exhaust being expelled all around the aircraft.
