C-17 Globemaster Refueling Mission! KC-135R Stratotanker Perspective

I'm excited to share this project of an aerial refueling training mission between a KC135 Stratotanker and C17 Globemaster, based out of March Air Reserve base (KRIV). This project required lots of TLC and patience to put together. However, I think the details and most importantly the story came together nicely. This video shows the mission primarily from the tanker's perspective, and takes you through each phase of the flight including the ATC. The weather was spectacular, and got to see different types of high level cloud formations during the refueling segment of the video.

First and foremost I'd like to thank the crew for their service and work that went into this flight: 1Lt Aaron Bolton (Pilot), Major Zach Valdez (CoPilot), SrA D'Avante Wells (Boom Operator), and Capt Matt Cooper (Cargo).

In addition to the flight crew, my warmest thanks goes to March Air Reserve Base, the 452nd Air Mobility Wing, and 912th Air Refueling Squadron. It's really cool working with them to bring projects like these to the public. Not only is it important to recognize our troops, but to inspire those looking to pursue a career with the armed forces.

Airport: March Air Reserve Base (IATA: RIV, ICAO: KRIV, FAA LID: RIV) (March ARB)

Aircraft: USAF Boeing KC135R Stratotanker (717148) (638024) (RATS 51). My filming partner Ryan Bomar (who has an amazing aviation YouTube channel was on the USAF Boeing C17A Globemaster III (044138) 'Spirit of California' (SLAM 46).
