I made some more "fixes" and flight attempts with the 4blade head with unhappy results. I then fitted a stock swash plate and 2blade head and tried again and it few quite nicely. (Successful flights take place starting at 6:28 and 8:58)
This proves that the problem with control is in the cheapquality 4blade head of the C186/Eachine E120 I am using. The lack of ball bearings and poorlyclamping blade grips seems to be the cause. I am looking into acquiring and fitting a decent 4blade head eventually, perhaps from a similar size Xk K124. If can find a used 4blade RakonHeli head (discontinued and sold out) then I will try that too.
First half of the video is the last and unsuccessful 4blade attempt followed by clean flight with 2 blades and an MCPX BL rotor head. I had a few spectators for my last flight.
So, Frankenstein2 with the merged C186 and MCPX BL frames, BL motors and linear servos flies well, but not as intended. I still have not given up hope for proper 4blade flight. Research, investigation and experimentation continues.
Happy flying!
