On May 8th, 2022, I actually got to ride along in the cab of Prairie Dog Central 4138 an EMD GP9 built as a Central Vermont unit, later becoming a Grand Trunk Western unit before being sold by CN to the Prairie Dog Central around 2003. After a run down from Grosse Isle, MB with the 440 steam engine, 4138 was started up to put the passenger cars away for the day.

Of course this was filmed with permission from the crews. I know some foamer’s video of him inside a locomotive is going around, just wanna clarify that I didn’t sneak in the cab or anything crazy like that, lol.
