Cactus to Clouds is the most grueling day hike I've ever attempted and I will likely never do this again. At over 20 miles and 10,800' feet of elevation gain, the climb up to San Jacinto Peak is a serious sufferfest. Plain and simple.
Starting on the desert floor of Palm Springs, the Skyline Trail is a monumental test for any seasoned hiker.

If you are thinking of trying this, my advice to you is "don't". Unless you speak to your therapist first. Maybe he/she can explain why you would put yourself through this torture by choice. Then, if you don't mind, please share that info with me, I clearly need help.
