Wavelet is the California Data Collaborative's Data Analytics Platform version 2.0 for California water suppliers to collect, visualize, and analyze customer consumption data with insightful and clean dashboards and reports.

Wavelet shows service area water use trends across customer classes, over time, compared to local weather and customer demographics as well as individual customer usage patterns.

There are many use cases for the data displayed such as complying with drought and State water efficiency regulations, demand forecasting, conservation effectiveness, rate analysis, and much more.

A free version is available for California urban water suppliers thanks to a generous grant from the United States Bureau of Reclamation.

Tips:
Free version is self service and requires manual uploads of billed consumption (monthly or bimonthly) data and DWR Landscape Area Measurements.

Premium version is for CaDC members at the Analytics or AMI subscription level and includes white glove support and automated data uploads. Premium includes customized reports, customer segmentation and tagging features, and the Water Use Objective compliance calculator.

Wavelet does not include AMI yet. That integration will be made available in the next 12 years with a USBR grant.

Open source data used in Wavelet is referenced such as population, evapotranspiration, precipitation, median household income, etc.

Wavelet calculates efficient water budgets for all singlefamily and irrigation accounts based on State efficiency standards and target.
