Statum Roboris, meaning "State of Strength", was a marching song designed to exalt the power of the totalitarian state. The song was composed as a propaganda tool to reinforce Caesar's vision for society as a "nationalist, imperialist, totalitarian, homogenous culture that obliterates the identity of every group it conquers". The composition was specifically designed to evoke feelings of strength, in reference to the total dominance of the Legion's state apparatus over the lives of its subjects and soldiers. The piece is designed to celebrate that "the individual has no value beyond his utility to the state, whether as an instrument of war, or production."
