Deriving temperature from Landsat 8 thermal bands / Estimating Land surface Temperature using arcmap * check below description for 6 equations you can apply on raster calculator tool
This is how to calculate LST ( Land Surface Temperature ) using LandSat 8 bands. Here i have used Band 10 as a thermal band, and band 4 and band 5 to calculate the NDVI ( Normal Difference Vegetation Index )
To calculate the LST USGS formulas have been applied on arcmap raster calculator tool which is the only tool used to calculate the LST
Ask for the used LST word file here https://bit.ly/3tzKZHO
Used Equations
1) TOA = 0.0003342 * "band10" + 0.1
2) BT = (1321.08 / Ln((774.89 / "%TOA%") + 1)) – 273.15
3) For Landsat TM NDVI = (Band 5– Band 4/(Band 5 + Band 4)
4) PV = Square(("%NDVI%" NDVImin)/(NDVImax – NDVImin))
5) E = 0.004 * "%PV%" + 0.986
6) LST = ("%BT%" / (1 + (0.00115 * "%BT%" / 1.4388) * Ln("%e%")))
