Sentinel5P NRTI (NearRealTime Instrument Processing) is a satellite mission developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) to monitor the Earth's atmosphere and provide data on various atmospheric constituents, including carbon monoxide (CO). The satellite is equipped with a stateoftheart instrument called TROPOMI (Tropospheric Monitoring Instrument), which is capable of measuring CO concentrations with high accuracy and spatial resolution.

To calculate carbon monoxide concentrations using the Sentinel5P NRTI CO time series, the satellite continuously collects data as it orbits the Earth. The TROPOMI instrument measures the sunlight reflected or scattered by the Earth's atmosphere in different spectral bands. By analyzing the absorption features of carbon monoxide in the nearinfrared spectral range, the instrument can estimate the concentration of CO in the atmosphere.
