Camper Outdoor Shower: Removing The Quick Connect Feature

Our factory outdoor shower coil hose completely deteriorated on us. I could have ordered another one with the quick connect, but wanted something to work, that I could find anywhere. Ashley found a very nice coiled hose at Aldi's. It came with a nozzle, but was a standard water hose end. I like the hose as it looks well made. I had already tried some different quick connects that all leaked, so I decided to go to the standard hose end. I picked up a 2 buck 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch fitting and did just that. All faucets may not be the same as the one on our 2023 Rockwood 1910esp. So be sure to check yours first. After taking the quick connect off the faucet and adding the fitting, I can now use any water hose. The coiled hose from Aldi's works great, but I did use a different nozzle. This is shown in the video. The quick connect is convenient but I prefer the standard end for this use. It seems most the shower hoses I found had the standard hose end on them. Maybe I just didn't find the right part but I will keep it this way. If you like the quick connect, totally ignore this video. Thanks ALL!
