In this video, I will be going through the pros and cons of the various hammocks that I use for canoe trips, backpacking, bushcraft camps and camping trips from the basic models through to the top end sophisticated hammocks with full bug nets, storage and adjustable foot boxes and even a very clever layflat system.

I love hammock camping, the gentle sway, the higher vantage point, being off the cold damp ground and the feeling of being cradled as I drift off to sleep. In the summer, you can take full advantage of that shady breeze and in the winter you can nestle down into your cocoon using a top quilt and under quilt to keep snug. A camping solution for all year round all you need is a couple of trees.

With so many options out there and massively varying price tags, it can be difficult to know what is good and what is not nobody wants to feel ripped off, so hopefully, this video will help answer some questions and show you a few options that I use and can genuinely recommend.
