It wouldn’t be college without a few beloved traditions that you’ll tell your grandchildren about someday. With almost 150 years of history, Calvin has its fair share of ways to celebrate maroon and gold. The school year starts off with Chaos Night, bed races, and the cardboard canoe race. Dance Guild performances are almost always sold out and occur in the fall and spring. Our tree lighting in early December is a wonderful way to begin the Christmas season on campus. When the temperatures dip and winter arrives you can look forward to the Rivalry game and Cold Knight Plunge. Then we celebrate international traditions with our spring event called Rangeela and all year long you can attend amazing concerts hosted through our Student Activities Office (SAO).
