We have all seen it in action: a lone soldier with a Panzerfaust turning the tide of battle against a hulking tank in some war video game. But how realistic is that portrayal?

Let's face it, the Panzerfaust is a legend. This simple, oneshot wonder was a revolution in World War II, giving soldiers a fighting chance against heavily armoured vehicles. Back then, it was a terrifying reality check for those tankers who thought they were invincible. The Panzerfaust's shaped charge could focus its explosive power to punch through even the thickest armour, evening the odds for the infantry.

Fast forward to today, and the tank world is a whole new ball game. Modern MBTs are bristling with tech. Composite armour with fancy materials like ceramics laughs at shaped charges compared to plain steel. Plus, they have got reactive armour that explodes outward when hit, basically giving the tank a mini explosion to counter the incoming round.

Now, with all the fancy tech on modern tanks, is the Panzerfaust still a relevant weapon? Can this oldschool weapon still get the job done against these hightech beasts?
