Most people aren't really taught HOW to walk after a knee replacement... they're just told to walk.

Bad walking technique is one of the main reasons we see that people suffer from chronic knee pain after having knee replacement surgery.

Usually, the knee surgeon just wants you up on your feet and starting to take steps as soon as you wake up from surgery. And this is a good idea to limit the amount of muscle loss and disability from the surgery.

But even though people go through months of physical therapy after having a knee joint replaced...they aren't ever really shown exactly how to walk.

Because they're just focused on getting you back to basic things at home, surgeons and physical therapists assume that your body just knows exactly how to walk with a replaced knee joint. But this is a foreign object in your body that needs to be integrated.

And the massive pain right after surgery and throughout rehab with the postsurgery physical therapy, the little nagging pain from poor walking technique is likely to be masked.

In this video, Dr. David will show you how to begin to properly walk to minimize and even get rid of pain in your replaced knee joint.
