Welcome back to my ‘Ben Collins Gaming’ channel – the place where I’ll be documenting my journey into a weird and wonderful corner of the motorsport world that’s undeniably exploding in popularity right now – sim racing.

My previous experiences of driving through games are, quite frankly, pretty bleak. I dabbled with some very primitive examples of car games in the 80s and 90s, but even though they were rudimentary, some of the core skills they taught me really did help me as I started out in my racing career.

Nowadays, of course, it’s a completely different story, with the line between reality and the virtual world getting smaller all the time.

I headed over to ‪@SimDemon‬ in Tiverton, where they kindly let me loose on one of their rangetopping ProSimu setups, complete with direct drive and multiaxis movements to make it feel incredible realistic.

What better car and track to give this rig the ultimate shakedown on than a Suzuki Liana at Dunsfold Aerodrome?!
