With very little sleep to recover from the previous day's warrior tasks, medical evacuation and trauma lanes, the IACH team stepped off into a 12mile foot march of unfamiliar terrain. Back in Kansas the team had trained for this event, but they assumed ideal conditions of rest before a long march. Now they are having to adjust to a different climate and nonstop tasks with little time to rest in between. Who, if any, will finish on time? This is Day 3 of the 2024 Medical Readiness Command, West Best Leader/Best Squad Competition.
