Today I'm trying out a new method of ink drawing, or rather in this case, painting, since I'm using POSCA paint pens. But the idea is that I want to take my typical drawing techniques and translate them onto something larger and more substantial. I still love pen and paper of course, but I have some desire to make something BIGGER and HEFTIER maybe. The more I think about it, the more I'm not really sure what I want, but that's part of the reason I'm wandering down this road; to see if I like it! The next step will be to try this with larger wood panels. I have tried similar things before and sometimes the transition to drawing in different mediums and scales doesn't always go smoothly or feel natural, but it's feeling ok so far.
It always feels a little weird talking about money and trying to make money, even if it's with art, but it's a part of being an artist I guess so, I don't mind trying to address it every now and then. I definitely don't have all the answers and I am thankful to be able to support myself through my art the way I do at the moment.
