Normally, Kraid despawns after either the X is released or ZDR is unfrozen when Experiment Z57 is killed. To test this requires getting power bombs without visiting Elun or taking the elevator after gravity suit.

The route I took is very similar to the current Any% unrestricted speedrun route, as that route also skips Quiet Robe, Plasma Beam, and Wave Beam and goes straight to Power Bombs after Screw Attack. The main difference is I also skipped Bombs, which makes the routing and certain segments (*cough* screw attack) a bit more challenging.
