Can you learn art by yourself? well, when I was young we had museums and books to learn from, now you can go on youtube and find a ton of videos explaining you art basics.

I was lucky to attend an art school (show sketchbook from art school) and learned art basics there: line, shape, value, perspective, color, drawing, painting, sculpting, engraving… you name it!

but what was the most valuable thing in art school was feedback from my peers and from my teachers. once a month we had a critique session where all the group would come in front of your art, displayed on easels, and teachers were giving you feedback; Some were very harsh, and I still remember some hard things I heard about my art.

So now I want to give back what I received, but kindly! Because you can say things in a kind way and still give the needed feedback. What do you think?
