Canada’s economy is heavily relied on the number of employed people and the taxes paid by them to fund our public services, like health care, education, transportation. Therefore, it’s crucially important to have qualified workers to satisfy the employment market in Canada. However, Canadians are living longer, having fewer children, more people are retiring, less children are at school. Therefore, the number of Canadianborn potential workers are extremely limited. Immigrants are not only improving the Canadian workforce and paying taxes but also, they are spending money on goods, housing, transportation, which is going to support the Canadian economy. Based on a report in 2022, for the first time in the Canadian history, there are more Canadians over the age of 65 than the children under the age of 15 because for nearly 50 years, women had fewer than two children. As a result, Canada needs a lot more immigrants to maintain the aging population. However, the immigration process created many unintentional negative effects on housing, education, and visa processes. Therefore, Canadian government needs to figure out how to alleviate these hurdles and problems.
