The program that developed the CL84 lasted for almost 20 years and produced one of the most successful VTOL aircraft ever, as far as performance. Canadair produced four Dynavert's over those 20 years and two of them crashed. In fact one crashed twice. The story of the great CL84 is one of perseverance and missed potential.
