Considered the icon of Quebec, the Fairmont Château Frontenac is one of Canada's grand railway hotels, built in 1893 by the Canadian Pacific Railway. Considered one of Canada's most recognizable landmarks, the hotel has hosted a number of notable figures over its 129year history including Queen Elizabeth II, George V, George VI, Grace Kelly, Charles de Gaulle, Celine Dion, Paul McCartney, Steven Spielberg, Leonardo DiCaprio and Alfred Hitchcock, who shot the climax scene of his 1953 film 'I Confess' at the hotel.
