In this video I explain what is the CANBUS, I explain different types of CAN bus including CCAN (Powertrain CAN), MCAN (Multimedia CAN) and BCAN (Body CAN), I explain where you can find the CANBUS on the car, how control units are connected to CANBUS, I explain what the Gateway is, I also show you on the car how to check the CANBUS resistance, how to check the CANBUS voltage (with a multimeter), how to check the CANBUS for short to ground. I also show you how to read the CANBUS waveform using a picoscope.
