About 1 year ago, we bought a beautiful old farm in North Portugal with plans to turn it into a thriving homestead. But on August 18th I was rushed to the hospital with severe discomfort in my stomach. Only a few weeks later, we were visiting the IPO in Porto to learn that I now have cancer.

While homesteading with cancer was never part of our plan when we moved to Portugal for a simpler life, we’re now faced with a new reality. So in this video, we’re discussing my cancer diagnosis, the next steps and the availability of treatment in Portugal at the IPO.
