Michele NadeemBaker was a TV news journalist turned PR pro for a global company when she started feeling flulike symptoms. She chalked them up to being a workaholic. Soon after she felt more symptoms including dermal changes, bumps on her head, and swollen lymph nodes.
She finally got diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a slowgrowing form of blood cancer, and was shocked further when her doctor told her there would be no immediate treatment.
