In this week's video we delve back into the world of Clive Barker with the 2021 sequel to Candyman from 1992. This movie effective rewrites the timeline of the franchise and is a direct continuation of the events of the original movie. We do however get more mythos surrounding the "Hive" of Candyman with the introduction of a new Candyman from the 1970's. This plays heavy influence on an upandcoming black artist in the area by the name of Anthony McCoy. As he dives deeper into the "Hive" he bites off more than he bargained for. As madness creeps in all around him and the bodies keep piling up, The Candyman is brought back to the for front of everyone's minds, and we taste the sweetness that is a wonderful sequel from the twisted mind of Mr. Jordan Peele. How do we rate this new incarnation of this horror icon? Just have to watch and see!
