After a recent video, introducing Cannock Chase I was asked for a specific route, here it is! 23 miles that give the rider a flavour of what the Chase has to offer, including both gravel and single track.

I did have problems with my gps signal which I am told is not unusual in this area. A paper map or OS maps on your phone may be of use. Starting in the car park opposite Tackeroo Campsite, the route meanders down to Severn Springs; proceeds onto The Stepping Stones and back towards Rifle Range Corner. From there it cuts through Tackeroo Campsite and heads down to the Moors Corse area via Marquis Drive. It then loops back via Kit Bag Hill eventually taking you to Birches Valley and the start of Perry’s Trail. The ride then returns back to the car park.
This is a route full of opportunity. It would be really easy to add extensions. The possibilities are endless! Have fun.

Cannock Chase is situated North of Birmingham in the Midlands, near to the town of Rugeley. Cannock Chase (grid reference SK000165), often referred to locally as The Chase, is a mixed area of countryside in the county of Staffordshire. It is mainly managed by Forestry England.
