I’m a JAARS Pilot/Mechanic with YAJASI serving in Papua Indonesia. I fly the Pilatus Porter PC6 STOL bush plane. This video is a flight I recently did to Pending. I couldn't land because of rain and had to wait at a nearby airport to wait for the rain to stop. Sloped mountain airstrips cause landing perception illusions, when you add precipitation to that it increases landing illusions.
