In this painting I am capturing the softness of a baby child in a portrait painting in acrylic paper. I have elaborated my techniques of blending and shading using acrylic colors with water as the only medium. No retarder is used for this painting process.

I have started this painting with a clear coat of Burnt Umber, Scarlet Lake and Yellow Ochre to cover the initial sketches of the face. I have applied many thin layers to achieve the desired effect of the skin tone. Most of the blending is done with dry brush technique with minimal water on the palette.
