A classic slice that delights the tastebuds and the nose! mmm yum! Smell that caramel cooking ;)
Serves 2430
Ingredients:
1 x Cup Plain Flour
1/2 x Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 x Cup Desiccated Coconut
125g x Butter (melted)
100g x Butter (for the caramel)
2 x Cans sweetened condensed milk (I used Nestle 395g cans)
1 x heavy tablespoon golden syrup
200g x dark chocolate
1 x tbsp vegetable oil
Method:
1. Mix together the flour, coconut, brown sugar and add the melted chocolate until crumbly
2. Press evenly into a medium sized slice pan. EVENLY. Bake for 20 mins at 180c. Allow to cool.
3. On a low heat, melt 100g butter, add the 2x cans condensed milk and golden syrup and mix until smooth and creamy.
4. Pour over the top of the biscuit base and bake for a further 30 mins at 180c. Allow to cool.
5. Melt the dark chocolate and add the vegetable oil stir until smooth. Pour over the top of the caramel and spread evenly.
6. Refrigerate until the chocolate is set, then slice, dice and serve up!
Personal note: I'm preferential to milk chocolate on my slice this is a personal choice. Poor Hannah had to eat the majority of this slice mwahahaha
