Dr. Ihsanullah Khan is a Research EngineerIII in the Center for Environment and Water, Research Institute at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. He obtained his PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from KFUPM in 2017 through the fullyfunded competitive PhD scholarship for distinguished graduate students. He received his M.Sc. and B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering in 2011 and 2007, respectively, from the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Peshawar, Pakistan. He was awarded the university gold medal as an acknowledgement of his exceptional performance during his undergraduate studies. He also worked as a lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering, UET Peshawar Pakistan for a period of 05 years.
Dr. Ihsanullah research interests are applications of novel materials in water treatment and desalination, adsorption, and environmental engineering. He has published around 40 research papers in high impact refereed journals and presented his work in 13 international conferences. He also holds a 03 US granted patents. His work is has been cited over 1900 times with an hindex of 19. Recently, he has also been awarded the “Highly Cited Paper Award” from KFUPM. He is serving as the Editorial Board and reviewer board of various journals and has reviewed more than 110 papers for reputed journals. He has also worked as a team member who successfully completed more than 50 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Monitoring projects for various clients.

Dr. Zahir Iqbal is an Associate Professor in Faculty of Engineering Sciences, GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences & Technology, Pakistan. He earned his PhD in Physics from Sejong University, Seoul, South Korea in 2015 and another doctorate in Computational and Applied Physics from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain in 2014. He completed his Masters (M.Phil) in Physics from GCU Lahore in 2008. He was Awarded postdoctoral fellowships from the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Basic Energy Science, Material Science and Engineering Division, USA, the U.S. Army Research Office (ARO), USA, the SZUNUS Collaborative Innovation
Center, Singapore and the National Research Foundation, South Korea. Dr. Zafar's is the winner of Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS) Gold Medal, 2020 and secured 1st position in the GIK Annual Research Award from 20162019. His research interests include Energy Storage Devices, Supercapacitors, Batteries, Solar Cells, Optoelectronics & Photovoltaics, Electronic Devices, Quantum Electronics, Spintronic and Experimental Condensed Matters among others.
