This short 5 minute video shows you what to do after you've had carpal tunnel release surgery in order to get the best outcome. It ensures that the 9 tendons and the median nerve in the carpal tunnel are all moved independently of each other to ensure adhesions do not form.
Postoperative hand therapy should be performed from Day 1 while still in dressings. This video serves as a guide only and please follow your own surgeon's advice and is also dependent on how your wound heals. The exercises may need to be altered/delayed if you have a wound problem or delayed healing.
