In April 2024, YT restricted this video and set it to "Made for Kids". We appealed and were rejected. We don't make any ad money (or any money at all from this video because it's copyrighted and we're just using it for demonstration purposes), so the restriction doesn't hurt us directly from a financial standpoint. However, it does affect our viewership and the demographics it will now attract. It won't be promoted to adults (our channel's demographic) as much as it was previously, and it will be more frequently promoted to kids (who are not our channel's demographic). We'll see how it plays out, but the most important takeaway is that YT didn't give a reason for the restriction and took only a few seconds to respond to the appeal with an immediate final rejection. In other words, they didn't review it. It was an AI decision with no room for debate. The decision was limited and biased and the appeal process is a farce.
