The latest in my series of cartoon airplane designs, this little F14 ended up being the best flying of the bunch. Over time I've come to settle on a setup which works great on these little jets. Differential thrust, elevons, and lots of vertical stabilizer makes for a very aerobatic platform with a pretty wide speed range. I've started using tinywhoop batteries in the 230260mAh range which handles the draw from the 8.5mm motors better, and gets well over 1:1 thrust to weight if the plane comes in between 40 and 50 grams. The airframe is cut from 3mm depron, but could be scaled 2x to use foamboard and bigger electronics. Since it's a Tomcat, I had to add the swingwing feature, which is driven by a 3rd 1.7g servo. Wing sweep has little effect on the flight performance, the only thing I can notice is a slightly lower rollrate with the wings out.

As with all my builds, this is strictly for fun. I do not intend to sell any sort of kit based on this project, although I will be glad to answer questions about the build, and help anyone who is interested create their own.
