A week before the summer solstice, I headed to the Three Sisters Wilderness to splitboard the majestic South Sister. The Three Sisters are three cascade stratovolcanoes that tower over the town of Bend, Oregon, and (in my opinion), make up the most beautiful part of Oregon. South Sister is the youngest and tallest (10,385 ft), and unlike North & Middle Sisters, has been active since the last glacial ice age (last eruption 2,000 years ago), meaning it retains a classic conical shape and a nice volcanic crater at its summit.

An awesome day, involving a suffering ascent and a gleeful ski descent.

Target audience is something I struggle with on these videos. For friends, family, and strangers, I would cut footage & make a more typical highlight reel edit, especially on the descent. But for myself, I want to include additional footage to preserve the essence of the entire day. I guess for now, these videos fall somewhere inbetween.
