We had a day out in the lovely city of Castelo Branco, Central Portugal, this week. We chose to go on a weekday so that it was less busy. We started with doing some shopping and then checked out a new park and then went to the fabulous Ha Mas Sao Verdes restuarant and had a tasty and filling 3 course meal for only 11.80 Euros each.
Next we decided to check out the castle as we had not been up there, before.
On the way we saw a very beautiful farm in the city so filmed that for you. Unfortuneately we couldn't find the details on the Remax website, so if you are interested, please contact them directly at their office in Castelo Branco.

The castle was a great place to park and explore the history of this part of the city. We will return as we didn't read all of the information boards.
We then walked down the hill, through the old part of the city. We passed several buildings and houses for sale.

One was a huge mansion near the ciy centre that had a garden and 6 bedrooms and costs 520.000Euros. Details below.

We then had a coffee near the central square and then visited the fabulous Art Gallery at the Centro de Cultura Contemporanea de Castelo Branco. The exhibitions here are always interesting and on this day it didn't disappoint.
There was a fantastic and thoughtprovoking retrospective of the works of the local artist Pedro Portugal. We will make a longer video of this great exhibition in the future. Also check out our Shorts of some of the artworks.
Next was a pleasant walk back up to the castle checking out the archtecture and views. Whe we reached the top we saw that a stage and music had been set up down below in a residential district and was booming out music across the city. It seemed a bit unusual for a Wednesday evening, but maybe not for CB.
