Throughout the year, there are several events that bring some entertainment to this small town, among the best known are the International Chocolate Festival, the Medieval Market and Óbidos Vila Natal. We can also mention FOLIO – Óbidos International Literary Festival, SIPO – Óbidos International Piano Week, LATITUDES Festival – Literature and Viajantes and, more recently, Óbidos Vila Gaming. Since 2015, it has been a UNESCO Creative City of Literature.
