Cataracts are most common in older adults and present with the signs and symptoms of cloudy vision, sensitivity to glare and light, needing frequent eye glass prescription changes etc.

Treatments includes monitoring the cataract until it progresses to a point where vision is severely altered, and then is followed by surgery. The most common type of cataract surgery is phacoemulsification. This involves removing the cloudy lens and replacing it with an intraocular lens.
