Catching RARELY SEEN Blue Sea Dragons in Australia!

Follow
Kaitys Cichlids

In this video we head out with marine biology student ‪@julianobayd‬ and ‪@coltyy‬ to find RARELY seen and extremely venomous Blue Sea Dragons aka Glaucus atlanticus. They are an extremely beautiful but potentially deadly type of nudibranch that float throughout the World's oceans, feasting on the venom of Blue Bottles and Man o' War.

From time to time, they will wash up on beaches in hordes, however, it is extremely difficult to predict when and where they will appear making their sightings rare. They are so rarely encountered, that the first documented record of them wasn't until 1705! Some people will go their whole life without seeing these, but we were lucky enough to have Julian help us find these incredible creatures so we can share with you in this vlog.

I hope you enjoy the video!
