Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the UP BJP Working Committee meeting on July 14 where he lauded BJP government both in the state and in the centre and affirmed that it has demonstrated good governance. Further, he was vocal about the rules of government and said that if one wants to celebrate Muharram, he/she has to celebrate it under the rules.
Addressing the meeting of UP BJP Working Committee, CM Yogi Adityanath said, “Remember, during Muharram, the roads used to be empty. Today, Muharram is being celebrated, it is not even known. In the name of Tajia, houses were demolished, peepal trees were cut, and wires were removed from the roads. Today it is said that no poor person's hut will be removed... Today it is said that the government will make rules, if you want to celebrate the festival, then celebrate it under the rules, otherwise sit at home... BJP demonstrated effective governance…”
