As an audio salesman, this is the #1 complaint I hear from customers, that they can't hear the dialogue from their center channel. Most of the time, it's because they have wood floors, and big windows and a large open floor plan and the room is very reflective. In my case, there's just some coloration due to the rear firing ports and its position in the cabinet. I just came up with this idea on my own, and it worked like a charm. The problem is gone!
