Hello and welcome to today's video about cervical sweeps. A cervical sweep is also known as a membrane sweep, the sweeping of membranes or a stretch and sweep. Gosh! There are so many names for the same procedure :) Anyway, this video will talk you through what happens during a cervical sweep, why membrane sweeps are offered during pregnancy and why they are a tool to induce labour.
