The crosscountry flight found Mark Hess at the copilot controls. N6163F steered steady as a rock as we radioed Chicago Approach, Chicago Center and Saint Louis Approach in succession. We completed the journey executing a visual approach into Pekin. The field is easily visible from the northeast as it lies south of Peoria.
