This video shows you the beautiful arrival and landing to Quito Mariscal Sucre Airport (UIO / SEQM) in Ecuador. We take you inside the cockpit showing what it is like to fly the Boeing 747400 ERF. Quito is one of the highest elevated airports in the world. It is located between mountains on a hill with a steep canyon on short final creating potentially challenging winds for landing. It is therefore classified as a category C airport, requiring special training for the pilots before being allowed to fly to Quito. Landing was made on runway 36. All ATC and cockpit audio is also included.
